8:30am: Go to St Anne’s Church in our truck transport (best way to travel) from hotel for Church service at St Anne’s Church, Praslin.
Paul is still dizzy and swaying a bit in the hot and humid church.
Beautiful church choir – we sing Inanay at the end – it pours down rain as we leave (Orrietta drops her glasses in the rain storm and we all look – someone spots them under the tree and they are found!)
All over La Digue and Praslin as we travel about - every corner we go around gives us another magnificent view of Paradise, and we decide we have fallen into the post card book.
Visit Coco de Mer plantation – one hour walk around the Vallee de Mai inside the world heritage area – magnificent.
Lunch at a great beach Anse Lanszou, Swim (I was tumbled like a washing machine in the waves – which looked benign), sang with Gaetan on his new guitar and Jeannie on ukulele.
While in the water saw the beautiful white birds, that are the symbol of the Seychelles, fly by – no camera
Drive around the island to return to hotel (film of road trip) to pick up luggage – squash luggage and us onto the truck to head back to the jetty for the Coco Cat ferry to travel back to Mahe and to Viraf’s apartments.
Two buses from the ministry of art and culture to meet us – through Victoria, past Lari Bazaar, up over the mountain windy roads to Beau Vallon.
Unpack at apartment – we are here for 10 nights! Noodles for dinner – no tea pot so make do with small saucepan. No real milk in the tropics – now drinking tea black!
