Head down for our early morning swim, then back for brekkie.
Meet at 12 noon to visit George Camilleʼs Art Studios at Wavelength, Le Rocher, Mahe.
We catch the local blue bus into the bus terminal, then swap to one that goes to Le Rocher – Gaetan is with us so we just follow along.
Five rupee (50c ) for each bus trip.

On the Bus
George is a lovely guy and an amazingly talented artist across many media – he designed the fish that adorns our Coco de Mer tee shirts and publicity material for the Boite Millienium Chorus concert in 2013. His studio is brand new (he designed and organised the building of it himself) – and it is filled with his lovely art, plus lots of interesting artefacts.
We take a thousand photos and some of us buy some works of art. Paul and I have purchased a print of the etching of the giant land turtle. Lilliana bought a lovely colourful painting.
George has a technique of layering the image onto the canvas with canvas strips and canvas cut outs, to give the painting depth – very time consuming but the result is very beautiful.
We leave the studio and catch the bus back towards town and jump off at the botanic gardens.
