Given that the whole island it a bit of a botanic wonderland, this set up is just a formal, more ordered garden of delights. Ferns, palms, lush tropical creepers, trees, flowers everywhere you look.
The new toilets have Coco de Mer seed signs for men and women!
We find a path that wanders down next to a stream and come out all itchy and realise we are covered in mozzies – out comes the Bushmans! Following along on a stepping stone path, Paul ends up with one foot in the muddy pond when a stone gives way under his foot.
We head down another path and see the newer turtle enclosure in the distance to hop down to it and visit the turtles munching their greenery – then come out through the “do not enter” rope as its renovations were not complete (oops).
We meet Stella and Gaetan and walk through Victoria to the bus stop to head back.
